Watching Sheep Graze
On spending time in nature.
There’s something peaceful about watching livestock graze. Once I open the netting and the animals dash onto their next patch of green grass, I feel like I could stand outside the paddock and watch them eat all day.
It’s great to be outside and see other creatures well fed and happy. Some shepherds say that working with sheep is their therapy after a day in the office.
So when the sheep are at rest, the shepherd is at rest, too.

This Week on the Farm
This past week was pretty quiet. Friday, I stopped in the middle of a covered bridge near the farm to check water levels. The sandbars protruding into the creek signal that the water is lower than it usually is.
Hopefully, this winter, the creeks will fill back up.
