Super Llama

On invisible capes.

I laughed when I saw this picture on my phone. Jeff had taken several photos of our llama, and this particular image made me think of superheroes with capes (wouldn't our llama be cute with a cape?) 😁

He might not have a cape, but this Super Llama has many special powers, from scaring away predators to looking majestic in front of a blue sky.

The sheep sometimes run behind the llama when there's a threat. The fact they know who to run to for protection is a comforting one for me as their shepherd, as well.

So continue the good work, Llama, and perhaps you'll receive a cape yet.

This Week on the Farm

Yesterday, we attended the Indiana Christmas Tree Growers Association annual meeting, and our wheels are spinning with some good ideas for what we can incorporate on the farm.

The snow has melted, and now we grow close to lambing time for our Shropshires and pygmy doe. Stay tuned for new lamb photos!

Farm Shop

There are only two weeks remaining for Light in Winter: The Exhibition at the Crawfordsville District Public Library. Stop by for fuzzy animals, fun stories, and a peaceful look at the farm.

With lambing starting soon, we'll have animals available for 4-H projects and starting your own flock. Get in touch with us by replying to this email, or @sylvanmore on Facebook and Instagram, if you'd like to take a look at the 4-H project and flock starter lambs once they arrive. We'd love to help you get started as a fellow sheep enthusiast!
