Sheep, Shine Your Light
Happy New Year!
At feeding time, Frappe followed the corn bucket to its resting place on the ground. Corn dust caked the bottom inside, and even though she'd just consumed the kernels in the feed trough, the ewe plunged into the bucket for those tasty molecules.
When she lifted her head and moved forward, she was stuck in the bucket.
Happy New Year! May your own light shine this year and not be hidden under a bucket.

This Week on the Farm
The unseasonably warm weather yesterday meant we could finish a project hanging new gates in the barn. This week, we're spreading lime on Christmas trees to balance pH and continuing to watch for new lambs. The ewe I put in the barn at the beginning of December still hasn't lambed yet, despite appearances that she was going to lamb soon. We're still eager for their arrival!
