Mia to the Rescue
On making sure everything's under control.

Farm Dogging!
Working like a dog isn’t supposed to include writing. It’s Saturday night and both Mom and Dad have let Sylvan Sundays slip through the cracks.
But since I (Mia) have to be in the middle of everything (Ed. Note: All. The. Time. -Jeff), it’s up to me to post something. It's all part of being a Good Dog. The whole no-opposable thumbs thing makes it kinda difficult. Being a Malinois, of course I’ve got extra dew claws but it’s not the same.* And this is on top of all the catching up I’ve had to do since I got home on Friday from a fun week at doggie camp.
Mom has been “out of town,” Dad’s had “overtime” (I only understand that as “they aren’t paying attention to me”). Hoo boy, the sheep, the squirrels, the cats, the raccoons, the birds, the leaves, the snowflakes, the boogeymen, everything is just totally out of control and only I can bark everything back together again.
Luckily, I only really move at high speed (Ed. Note: Very high! -Jeff), so I can get right to it. I did help Dad on Friday afternoon after he picked me up. He was just quickly throwing hay in all the sheep pens but had to tell him to pay attention to the tiny bleating coming from the back corner where it’s not easy to see. Together we found the cutest little lamb (Ed. Note- they’re all “cutest”-Jeff) curled up with her mama.
Ohhh...gotta chase a skunk. Mia out.
*Dad did help by transcribing this for me.
Thanks for Reading!
Well, I’m back from chasing that skunk away (unfortunately, without getting sprayed!) to ask, what’s a task you need to catch up on? Let me know with a reply to this email. For a treat and a tummy rub, I’ll come over right away!

This Week on the Farm
Now that both Mom and Dad are home, they have a lot to catch up on, too, from moving sheep around to tagging lambs to something weird called “taxes.”
I’ll do my part, and then you can find me here:

Even sleeping, I'm on the job, protecting the bedroom.
Farm Shop
I don’t know much about what a shop is, but I’m supposed to tell you two of our registered Shropshire yearling ewes are ready for you!
And also the lambs that I keep finding for Mom and Dad because they’re too distracted by other things will be ready for a new home later this spring. Mom and Dad will take care of something called “registration papers.” Just use your fancy opposable thumbs to reply to this email for more information.
Uh oh, squirrels….!
