Exhibition
On excitement for the week ahead.
It's here! It's here! It's finally here!
For the first time in ten years, we are exhibiting sheep from this farm at the Indiana State Fair. Pictured is Breagh wearing a Purdue gold and black halter, ready to show off in the show ring.
Fairs and livestock exhibitions go back a long way, across continents. The exhibition is a chance to see how we're doing in comparison to other farms and to gain ideas as to how we can improve our stock. We can advertise our own sheep and contemplate other stock to buy, as well as see friends and colleagues we haven't seen for a year.
And of course, we can walk around and enjoy the rib-eye steaks, bison burgers, milkshakes, and deep-fried Oreos that are a staple of the Indiana State Fair.
Thanks for Reading!
And I hope you feel refreshed and rejuvenated for the week ahead with this moment preserved in picture and prose. Consider:

This Week on the Farm
They might be hard to see in the picture, but the goats out on pasture will clean up the weeds nicely for us, and we will show the sheep on Friday!
