On frost appearing.

Last week, frost danced across the Hillside Pasture. It outlined the edges of some leaves and dotted the flat blades of others.

Gray skies arced over the trees. It seemed the whole world was silver.

All was still.

Tuesday morning as I made my rounds, all the Shropshires were gathered for breakfast. One of the ewes said hi:

Check-in for the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) is Saturday, so we’ll be preparing this week to take our Shetlands to Louisville, Kentucky.
