Blue Ribbon

On agricultural exhibitions.

Agricultural shows are held around the world, bringing together farmers, shepherds, ranchers, produce growers, horticulturists, and other agricultural producers and enthusiasts to celebrate the land’s bounty.

Ribbons recognize the work that started several months before the event, whether growing grains, training livestock, or cultivating flowers.

This blue ribbon earned over the weekend for a Shropshire fleece signifies a new beginning for our adventures in wool production.

This Week on the Farm

We entered several fleeces in the competition at yesterday's Greencastle Wool Show and did well! Our first place Shetland fleece was the same wool that placed in the Top Four of the Best Fleece on Hoof class at the Indiana State Fair. Our first place Shropshire fleece was sold to a local spinner and weaver after the competition.

The rest of these class winners are still available! Reply to this email for your next fiber project with Shetland or Shropshire fleeces.
