Among Thorns
On flowers.
So far, the flower inventory on the farm includes white and red clovers, daisy fleabane, and these flowers growing on brambles.
Thorns surround them, yet they are delicate and beautiful, peaceful to behold.
They reflect light as they watch the cows graze and the sheep mill about in the barn.

Later in the week, we are hosting a grazing specialist from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS, part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture). He'll help us look at our pasture and make decisions based on the grass and legume species growing there.
