Droplets
On water and droughts (again).
Water droplets cast shadows.
Lack of water casts shadows over crops.
The drought monitor is updated on Thursdays. We are in D1, a moderate drought. We could be looking at a repeat of last summer, when we watched the maps, storm clouds, the water coming from the well.
So when the water dropped as army ranks advancing toward the edge of the new wagon Jeff built, suspended in the morning’s Golden Hour, I was captivated. The largest droplets were generals, protected by privates and lieutenants.
